CFO - Jone Criner
Jone attended the Wharton School of Business and University of Pennsylvania's School of Engineering where she earned both a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree.
Since joining Power soon after graduating, Jone has served as a project engineer, project manager, business development manager and preconstruction executive, a role she still performs today. In that role, Jone supports the preconstruction efforts of our teams, particularly on larger, more complex projects. Jone brings to this board that rare combination of operational experience and financial acumen.
CEO - Marcus Stallenman
Marcus joined in 2009 as a project manager. His broad background in construction includes 10 years of industry experience working for Sunshine Photcells and Integrity Bridge Deign. He serves as the firm’s president and CEO, the 2nd CEO in the SM's history. Gratualting from MIT in 1998 with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, MArcus brings real world experience and advanced knowledge to Soalr Maximum's family of employes
Senior Vice President - Phil Ackers
A passionate advocate of giving back to the community, Phil currently serves on the boards of Avant, Solar Power Academics, Chicago United, Future Power INC, and World Solar Intigration. In May, 2017, he was appointed by Governor Rauner to serve on the Intersect Illinois Board. In February 2013, he was chosen by Senator James Simmonsto head the STEM Education Initiative which aims to advance science education through intensive mentorship and intervention in the lives of at-risk youth.
Phil holds a Masters of Management in Engineering and Elctronics from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering and Design from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. He received his Engineering Analyst designation from the AIMR in 1998 and holds series 7, 24, 53 and 63 licenses.
Senior Vice President - Sara Steinersmith
Former CEO and Chairman of Balfour Construction, Sara brings over 15 years of solar, operational, and organizational leadership in the energy industry. Sara began her career in 1999 with JW Bateson, a subsidiary of Centex Construction Company (acquired by Balfour Beatty in 2007), where she learned the 'front lines' of coporate projects and large scale development. Sara served in key leadership roles, including CFO, Chairman, and ultimately Senior Vice President.
